Tonja Torgerson has her M.F.A. in Printmaking from Syracuse University, and B.F.A. in Studio Arts, minor in Art History, from the University of Minnesota. She was the 2014/15 Arts Center Printmaking Artist in Residence, and has accepted the inaugural position of Print Studio Fellow at the Lawrence Arts Center.Browse All Classes
Adults / 14 and Up
This course is designed to introduce students to a wide variety of printmaking processes. Students will explore traditional methods such as relief and intaglio; and also experiment with more contemporary methods. Methods covered may include but not be limited to; Relief, Monoprint, Intaglio, collagraph, Digital/Hybrid Combinations. This class is open to all levels of experience. Min 5/Max 8
Steamroller Relief Printmaking
Adults / 14+
Go Large. Students enrolled in this class will create large scale woodcuts. To conclude the 8 week session, students will meet on the street on the day of the Art Tougeau Parade, to print using a steamroller. Collaboration is encouraged. Team up with family and friends to create a colossal print.
