Olivia is an artist working at the intersection of digital technology, animation, and performance. Her work has been exhibited in Wichita and Lawrence, notably at the Spencer Museum of Art, and her experimental videos have screened internationally. She currently teaches the arts & math component of the Lawrence Art Center’s STEAM curriculum, and serves as the Artist Mentor to Inventor Grrrls, a design and building workshop for young girls. She has led multiple School’s Out sessions for Lawrence youth, including Cast Away Island and Digital Arts Playground. Olivia holds a B.F.A. in Visual Art with an emphasis in Expanded Media from the University of Kansas, and a B.A. in Political Science & International Studies from Baker University. In addition to her digital-performance work, she has worked with traditional media and was a contributing member to the Federal Reserve Bank's centennial anniversary sculpture commission. Her two sculpture works are on rotating display through the 10th Federal Reserve District, including Omaha, NE; Oklahoma, OK; and Denver, CO.Browse All Classes

Conceive, invent, and create different projects with other young girl inventors in this Design/Build Workshop class. Building off STEM concepts, Inventor Grrls will make artwork and prototypes that involve expanded media, cutting edge technology, and experimental processes. This group will devise solutions to community problems as well as realize ideas and designs of their own. There is no limit beyond your imagination!
