Box Sydney 3rd-5th

3rd - 5th Grades

While planning, designing, and engineering a kid sized, cardboard box metropolis, students apply their imaginations to fill the city in. Using Sydney, Australia as an example, we will look at urban planning and design and how it shapes the world we live in. Students gain appreciation for shape, form, and proportion as they apply these principles to their expanding city. The real magic happens as students take ownership of their structures, identities, and culture within the city. The city is installed in the lobby for all to enjoy with a public opening on the last day of camp.
