She received a Ford Foundation Scholarship to study at New York City Ballet's School of American Ballet. Ms. Hilding also performed as a guest artist with Edward Villella's touring company and as a leading dancer with the New Jersey Ballet. As a performer, she toured internationally, appeared in the acclaimed PBS series Dance in America, and in a TV special featuring Diana Ross. She also danced at the Kennedy Center Performance of American Arts for President Jimmy Carter and Vice Premier of China Deng Xiaoping. Ms. Hilding teaches advanced ballet, pointe, and pas de deux at the University of Kansas.Browse All Classes
Ballet IV & V
5th Grade & Up
In this specific summer class, students previously approved for pointe work will be allowed to wear pointe shoes at the barre. Students are highly encourage to also enroll in the following Variations and Pirouettes and Jete. Classes as well as consider cross training in Jazz II, Tap II, Hip-hop, and Pilates to become a well-rounded dancer.
Ballet VI & VII
Must be placed by an instructor / Advanced
Four ballet classes a week are recommended; three are required. Students are encouraged to cross-train by enrolling in Pilates, Modern II, and Jazz II-III to become strong and diverse dancers.
