Associate Director of Performing Arts
Elizabeth has an M.F.A. in Theatre for Youth and K-12 teaching certification from Arizona State University. She is a community-based artist, teaching artist, director, actor, and dancer. Before coming to the Lawrence Arts Center, Elizabeth acted with The Seem-To-Be Players, a nationally touring children’s theatre troupe, and worked as Asphalt Art’s Resident Artist at Phoenix’s Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development, where she led homeless youth ages 18-25 in poetry, spoken word, drama, performance and digital storytelling. She conducted her applied project thesis, UN-BOUND-ED, an immersive devised theatrical experience, focused on exploring high school boundaries at Topeka West High School.Browse All Classes
8th - 12th Grades
PLAY12 is the Lawrence Arts Center's senior performance company for actors in 8th-12th grade. Members will work together to produce shows and events ranging from improv comedy nights to new play readings to original short plays. Summer Youth Theatre Internship Program
8th - 12th Grades
Directed by Elizabeth Sullivan and Samaria Fleig. Learn what it takes to become future theatre leaders in this eight week program. This leadership program provides students with opportunities for professional skill building, resume building, and collegiate audition preparation.
