Actress, Theatre Instructor
Amanda works at the Lawrence Arts Center in a variety of capacities teaching theatre, directing and performing, as well as developing a preschool theatre curriculum with the SmART Moves National Health Foundation grant. Her career has encompassed a wide variety of theatre projects for more than twenty years as teacher, director, and actor in school, professional and non-profit settings throughout Texas and Kansas. Amanda earned degrees in Theatre & Film and English at the University of Kansas and a degree in Secondary Education from Kansas State University. Amanda has a passion for developing the whole child through the medium of theatre and a love of musical theatre.Browse All Classes
Arts Studio 3rd-5th Grades
Explore drama, dance, and visual arts over the course of 12 weeks. Each day provides a mix of movement and visual arts, giving students a fun filled afternoon. This class is focused on virtual and home school students, but anyone is encouraged to join.
